United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

We all have a contribution to make!

Home United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

The sustainable development goals were set out by the United Nations in 2015. That same year, they were adopted by all United Nations member states.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet. At its heart are the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Each of the 17 goals is an urgent call for action. They recognise that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

What have the sustainable development goals got to do with us?

Responsibility sits with all of us to be the change we want to see. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we are too small to make a difference. But grains of sand make mountains and many hands make light work: Even the smallest business can be a force for positive change.

From our foundation, Hydraulics Online has been built on a vision to create a fairer and more informed service for our customers, to be a good employer and to make a positive difference in the community.

We all have a contribution to make. While we might start small, we believe that – through a clear vision and with perseverance and collaboration – every change we make can have real impact.

Do join us – and so many others – on the journey!
