Bespoke Hydraulic Cylinders Designed to Suit a Food Manufacturer
These 8 bespoke hydraulic cylinders (HOL-W Series) were made for a customer’s food manufacturing application.
Featuring a double-acting, welded design, each cylinder has been constructed from 316 stainless steel (tubes, end caps, ports and all fittings and pipes) with a 17-4PH stainless steel rod material. Crucially, they have been finished with an epoxy paint to ensure that they resist corrosion.
The cylinders all have a 100mm bore, 70mm rod and 1600mm stroke with a hard-piped counterbalance valve.

Series HOL-T Tie Rod Hydraulic Cylinders
Series HOL-T hydraulic cylinders are of a heavy-duty, tie-rod construction, conforming to ISO 6020/2 – 1991, DIN 24554 requirements. They are suitable for a wide range of applications with various mounting styles and design options available and are pressure-tested to 1.5 x the designed working pressure.
Cylinder designs are created with 3D design software, and can be exported to enable you to import the cylinder or actuator model directly into your own machine design. Component parts are manufactured using latest CNC machinery ensuring part interchangeability. A quick turnaround on new cylinders and service items.
Series HOL-T hydraulic cylinders are designed with generous internal bearing lengths, using high quality materials in their construction, together with proven seal types and a choice of sealing systems and materials. End of stroke cushioning is available at either, or both, ends of stroke.
All Series HOL-T hydraulic cylinders can be supplied with: custom designed mountings, internal full displacement positional transducers, end of stroke sensors, seals for all types of hydraulic fluids and operational speeds. Control valve packages with valves built directly into the cylinder endcap or manifolded onto the cylinder are also an option.
The cylinders are supplied as standard in satin black enamel paint, but can be supplied with external surfaces plated or shotblasted, and marine-specification painted.
Series HOL-W Welded Hydraulic Cylinders
Industrial and marine specification Series HOL-W hydraulic cylinders have a heavy-duty welded construction. They are available in a wide range of mounting styles, and have a range of accessories and options enabling them to be used for a wide range of applications.
Again, 3D design software is used to allow actuator or cylinder designs to be exported directly into your own machine design. CNC machined component parts ensure part interchangeability, with stocks enabling a quick turnaround on new cylinders and service items.

Series HOL-R Semi-Rotary Actuators
Hydraulics Online semi-rotary actuators are designed for long life in heavy-duty applications. Available in a wide range of torque outputs, the range comprises both single and double rack versions, the racks being hydraulically driven against a pinion to provide a rotary output.
Hydraulics Online actuators are designed for maximum mechanical efficiency; the quoted torque figures are 100% and take into account losses within the actuator. The actuators will provide a constant torque output regardless of angular position. Torque can be adjusted by regulating the hydraulic system pressure and speed of operation can be controlled by regulating the system flow rate.
