    Hydraulics Online named as Finalists in the National UK Customer Satisfaction Awards

    Hydraulics Online has been shortlisted as a finalist for the UK’s most prestigious Customer Service Awards – hosted by THE independent professional body for customer service in the UK.

    Providing best-in-class customer satisfaction has never been part of Hydraulics Online’s strategy – our customer commitment has always been much more deep-rooted than that. Putting customers front and centre of all that we do is in our DNA and embedded within our vision, mission and values. It’s the very reason that Hydraulics Online was established back in 2004 – offering an alternative to traditional, product-led distributors and suppliers.

    As a high-profile customer once said, we “don’t just shift boxes”. Speaking with customers every day shows that even the most experienced and technically qualified can struggle to find the support that they need before coming to Hydraulics Online.

    Excellent service. We were having difficulty sourcing a hydraulic tank for our 20-year-old low-loader trailer and getting told it was an obsolete part by many, but one call to Hydraulics Online followed with a couple of photos and the part was on its way.     And that’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Hydraulics Online has been selected as a finalist in the ‘Customer Commitment, Business-to-Business’ category at the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards, hosted by The Institute of Customer Service – because this award provides wonderful recognition of everything that Hydraulics Online stands for.

    Driving Business Performance through Service Excellence

    Founded in 1996, The Institute of Customer Service works nationally with businesses, the public sector and the Government to drive performance through service excellence. The UK Customer Satisfaction Index (UKCSI) is the national barometer of customer satisfaction that has been published twice a year by The Institute of Customer Service ever since 2008. It provides an independent, objective benchmark and view of customer satisfaction in the UK across 13 sectors.

    Meanwhile, the Institute’s annual UK Customer Satisfaction Awards provide the opportunity for organisations to showcase their commitment to service excellence, and to be recognised for their tenacity, creativity and innovation.

    In recent years, Hydraulics Online has been recognised for numerous local, regional and national awards spanning a variety of criteria and categories. We’re no stranger to certifications for our service excellence throughout the UK and around the world either, being selected as ‘Export Champions’ by the UK Government’s Department for Business and Trade every year since 2019 and having held ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditation since 2014.

    However, these are the UK’s most prestigious customer service awards – imagine the Oscars, but for customer services! And so despite our previous successes, we cannot describe how thrilled we are to be recognised by such a respected organisation as the Institute for Customer Services, and alongside so many big ‘blue chip’ and household names too. The list of other nominees includes countless A-listers including: Shell, Sky, Boots, Virgin Atlantic, Volkswagen, Ageas, Kinght Frank, Dulux and Specsavers. We’re already counting down the days to the big night being held at London Hilton on Park Lane on 12th March next year.

    What next?

    While these awards are a huge sign that we are doing things well, we aren’t stopping here – far from it! Our five-year plan includes projects focused on continually strengthening our customer-first approach. Whether we win on the night, or not, we are committed to providing best-in-class service that allows others to harness our expertise the world over.
