Without doubt, there is never a dull moment here at Hydraulics Online; the team’s love of hydraulics never even begins to tire, such is the constant stream of new customers, new applications and new projects that we are involved with each day. No two days are ever the same.
From around the corner to the other side of the world, from hobbyists and pleasure-seekers to big “household” names, and from engineers who needed a part “yesterday” to universities and research centres who are helping to define the future… Our customers come from all walks of life and from all corners of the globe. Literally.
Some haven’t any knowledge about hydraulics, or only ever need hydraulics “once in a blue moon”, while others are passionate about hydraulic engineering and are looking for regular cost-effective and reliable supplies of known equipment.
We know our stuff…
Hydraulics Online have always been fast, friendly and competitive but we value them most because they are innovative and can find answers to the really tough problems.
So, our technical team enjoy a reputation for consistently providing practical, trusted advice and solutions as far as hydraulics are concerned. That’s only right isn’t it? But, our ISO 9001 accreditation means that we walk the hydraulics talk too… and do what we say we’re going to do – when we say we’re going to do it!
Can I thank you for your speedy service. The rig is operational and we will now meet tomorrow’s delivery requirement.
Back to our customers. It’s hard to think of an industry, market or corner of the world where we haven’t supplied hydraulics and designed systems. Our work to date spans: Agricultural and forestry, energy and power generation, other hydraulic engineering “specialists”, manufacturing, industry and mining, marine and offshore, mobile hydraulics, original equipment manufacturers and other specialist applications e.g. ATEX
Hydraulics probably wouldn’t be your first thought if you were standing in a beautiful lavender field, but a new customer contacted the team looking for hydraulic systems design support to build a new piece of equipment – a ‘lavender lifter’ to de-head and harvest the flowers using bristle heads, much like a road sweeper, albeit much more gently! The team worked through the design and then quoted for a hydraulic motor with 50cc end ports, a 16mm flange and a 3/8″ BSP priority flow divider. It was dispatched the very next day.
Hydraulics are commonly found in marine and offshore equipment, and a well-established overseas hydraulic engineering company approached the team looking for a radial piston motor to replace an existing unit used on a marine winch system. The original motor was obsolete, but it also had a non-standard shaft.
Working from photos taken of the original unit, Hydraulics Online identified that an Italgroup (IAMD series) radial piston motor with a bespoke shaft was perfect for the job.
“Just to let you know how impressed I am with your service… Not only did you recognise the motor I needed where others had failed to do so, but you were able to despatch a replacement to me that same day.”
