Eaton Xcel XL2 XL4 XLH XLS Series Motors

Eaton Xcel series motors are low speed high torque motors that are ideal for low and medium-duty applications. They are compact, powerful geroler motors with a 3-zone pressure design. Internal check valves limit case pressure to that of the outlet port.

The Xcel motor’s design dampens pressure spikes in both directions – even without a case drain hose. This helps to extend shaft seal life and enhances overall reliability. Eaton Xcel motors also use a “same speed” disc valve that rotates with the output shaft, improving mechanical and volumetric efficiency.

Motor shaft rotation can be instantly reversed by changing direction of input/output flow while generating equal torque in either direction.

The full Xcel range comprises XLH, XLS, XL2 and XL4 series models.

Xcel XLS Series (036-):

XLS also has check valves as standard that drain the case chamber to the motor outlet port. In many applications this enables the case drain to be omitted.
