Eaton hydraulic motors cover a wide range of mobile and industrial applications, from compact orbital motors for agricultural and construction machinery to high-pressure axial piston motors for demanding industrial drives.

The Eaton hydraulic motors range includes Char-Lynn orbital motors, DuraForce and Hydrokraft axial piston motors, M-series vane motors, and heavy-duty piston motors that now sit within the Danfoss Power Solutions portfolio following the 2021 acquisition of Eaton’s hydraulics business.

Eaton Motor Families

  • DuraForce HMV, HMR, HMA and HMF (Vickers by Danfoss): Axial piston motors with a compact design and a 21-degree maximum swash angle, suited to open and closed loop operations in mobile and industrial applications. Continuous pressure rating of 420 bar, peak 500 bar. – HMA (adjustable fixed displacement): HMA165, HMA210, HMA280 – HMF (fixed displacement): HMF028, HMF035, HMF050, HMF055, HMF063, HMF075, HMF105, HMF135 – HMV (variable displacement): HMV055, HMV075, HMV105, HMV135, HMV165, HMV210, HMV280 – HMR (regulated variable displacement): HMR075, HMR105, HMR135, HMR165, HMR210, HMR280
  • Hydrokraft MFX, MVX, MFW and MVW (Vickers by Danfoss): Axial piston motors engineered with the largest shaft bearings available, for full through-drive capability and long life in harsh operating conditions. Pressure rated up to 350 bar, rated speed up to 1800 rpm, and suited to a range of fluids including water-glycol. – MFX / MVX (X-series, fixed and variable displacement): 66 to 180 cc/rev, engineered for steel mill applications – MFW / MVW (W-series, fixed and variable displacement): 250 to 750 cc/rev, engineered for marine, offshore and oil and gas applications
  • Eaton Heavy-Duty Piston Motors: Series 1 fixed and variable displacement piston motors with a cast-iron housing and fixed-clearance slipper design for long service life.
  • Eaton M-Series Vane Motors: A variable speed and rotary hydraulic power motor with diametrically opposed inlet and outlet chambers to reduce wear and a dual-pressure plate for operational efficiency. Used in plastic injection moulding machines, conveyors and similar applications.
  • Eaton Char-Lynn VIS 40 / 45 Motors: Heavy-duty, low-speed, high-torque (LSHT) motors for closed-loop applications, compact and sturdy, with higher pressure capabilities and improved efficiency compared with other LSHT motors.
  • Char-Lynn Orbital Motors: Char-Lynn Gerotor and Geroler orbital motors, including the J, H, S and T spool valve series and the 2000, Delta, 4000, 4000 Compact, 6000 and 10000 disc valve series.
