Vickers AxisPro Proportional Valves
Vickers AxisPro is the flagship proportional valve line from Vickers by Danfoss, the intelligent, software-configurable successor to the KBSDG proportional valve series. Available in single-stage (direct-acting) and two-stage (pilot-operated) designs across five sizes, AxisPro valves bring digital control, onboard diagnostics and advanced connectivity directly into the valve body, combining electronics, motion control and, on higher specification models, built-in pressure and temperature sensing.
This integration eliminates the need for a separate motion controller, simplifying system design and reducing wiring costs and machine build time. Configuration is carried out using Danfoss’s Pro-FX Configure v2 software, which provides a wizard-based, step-by-step setup for control modes including spool position, cylinder position, pressure, speed and force, connecting via USB, Ethernet or CAN bus. Real-time parameter adjustment, flow linearisation and dither and deadband adjustment allow performance to be fine-tuned for specific loads, speeds and conditions without needing to tune a PID controller for most applications.
AxisPro valves offer 50% higher pressure gain than the previous KBSDG series, with support for Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, CANopen and further protocols across the range; see Communication Protocols below. On-valve LED diagnostics provide real-time status and simplify troubleshooting, and best-in-class ingress protection, rated to IP65 and IP67, supports operation in demanding environments.
Three performance levels are available, allowing the control sophistication to be matched to the application; see Performance Levels below. Legacy KBS1, KBH1 and KBSDG/KBHDG model users can identify the current AxisPro equivalent in the Model Range table below.

Performance Levels
Level 1
Advanced digital control, seamless connectivity and real-time configurability, replacing the previous KBSDG series. Plug-and-play setup via USB, real-time parameter adjustment using Pro-FX Configure software, and visual diagnostic LEDs. Options include extreme vibration resistance up to 50g and high corrosion resistance up to 700 hours salt spray protection. Available as models KBSD14-03/05 (single stage) and KBHD15-05/07/08/10 (two stage).
Level 2
Adds an onboard axis controller providing position, speed, pressure and multimode control, closing the control loop on the valve to reduce latency and simplify PLC requirements. Sensor input supports axis control and machine monitoring, and an open architecture allows custom applications. Available as models KBS2*-03/05 (single stage) and KBH2*-05/07/08 (two stage).
Level 3
Adds embedded A, B, P and T pressure sensors on all four ports, plus a temperature sensor on the tank port, for faster and simpler commissioning and more diagnostic data on machine health and performance. Available as models KBS3*-03/05 (single stage) and KBH3*-05/07/08 (two stage).
Model Range and Legacy Equivalents
Level 2 and Level 3 models follow the same size and stage pattern as Level 1, shown below, with the KBS2*/KBH2* and KBS3*/KBH3* prefixes respectively in place of KBSD14/KBHD15.

Pro-FX Configure v2 Software
Pro-FX Configure v2 is Danfoss’s PC-based valve configuration software, connecting via USB, Ethernet or CAN bus. A wizard-based setup guides users through valve configuration for a chosen primary control mode (spool position, cylinder pressure, cylinder position, cylinder speed, or cylinder force) and, where applicable, a secondary control mode. Parameter-based tuning remains available in Advanced mode for users familiar with previous software versions, and the software supports legacy AxisPro firmware versions 7.x and 107.x.
The software runs on Windows 10 or 11, connecting to the valve via a USB-to-CAN adapter and CAN bus cable, or a network cable for Ethernet-enabled models.
