Vickers PVQ Series Piston Pumps
The Vickers PVQ series are in-line variable displacement axial piston pumps designed for industrial applications where low noise is a priority. Operating at sound levels typically lower than the electric motor driving them, PVQ pumps use a patented timing arrangement that reduces noise and minimises pressure pulses in the outlet flow.
Displacement is controlled via a pressure and/or flow compensator, with a range of control options to suit different application requirements. The series is available in a thru-drive configuration, allowing a second pump to be mounted on the rear of the unit.
PVQ pumps are compatible with water-glycol and phosphate ester fluids in addition to standard petroleum-based and synthetic hydraulic fluids, making them suitable for applications where fire-resistant fluid is required.

Control Options
The PVQ series offers a range of compensator and control configurations:
- C — Pressure compensator. Standard control type. Factory set at 210 bar (PVQ40) or 190 bar (PVQ45). Adjustable from 35 to 210 bar (PVQ40) or 35 to 190 bar (PVQ45).
- CM — Low-pressure compensator. Factory set at 70 bar (1,000 psi). Adjustable from 35 to 150 bar.
- C+V — Pressure compensator with load sensing. Available with a standard load-sense differential of 11 bar (160 psi) or 24 bar (350 psi). Available with bleed-down orifice (B suffix) or plugged (P suffix).
- CG — Hydraulic remote control. Pressure compensator modified for remote hydraulic control.
- CD — Electric dual range compensator. Provides two selectable pressure settings via electrical signal. PVQ40 standard: 210 bar and 100 bar. PVQ45 standard: 190 bar and 100 bar.
An optional maximum displacement stop (D suffix) is available on all control types.
