    Case Study: Offshore and Marine Hydraulic Services

    Offshore marina at sea

    The Hydraulics Online sales and technical team are definitely proving that they know their stuff as far as marine hydraulics and offshore applications are concerned; an increasing number of businesses are looking our way to source marine and offshore hydraulic equipment… and often they are up against incredibly tight deadlines too, i.e. they really needed it “yesterday”!

    Earlier this week, a large offshore oil company enquired about a Commercial Hydraulics P365/P330 tandem pump – they were in a breakdown situation on one of their accommodation rigs. The Commercial pumps were on an 18 week lead time, not the news the customer wanted to hear, but the good news was that we could offer a direct equivalent (pictured here)  from stock… a quality product, built and tested here in the UK. The customer placed their order immediately. The pump was built, tested and ready for dispatch within 24 hours… to be transported by helicopter to its new home on the accommodation rig the following day.

    Some of the features of the Commercial Hydraulics P365 pump (and the direct equivalent) include:

    • Speeds ranging between 900-2400 rpm;
    • Fluid displacements up to 9.0 cir (147.5 ccr);
    • Continuous pressures up to 3500 psi (241 bar) with intermittent pressures up to 4000 psi (275 bar);
    • Output flows up to 90.7 gpm (343.3 lpm);
    • Motor torque from 1705-3740 in-lbs (1964-4308 kg-cm) at 2400 rpm;
    • High strength, one-piece integral shafts.

     Features of the Commercial Hydraulics P330 pump features include:

    • Speeds from 900-3000 rpm;
    • Fluid displacements up to 3.94 cir (64.6 ccr);
    • Continuous pressures up to 3500 psi (241 bar) with intermittent pressures up to 4000 psi (275 bar);
    • Output flows up to 50.1 gpm (190 lpm);
    • Motor torque from 980-1685 in-lbs (1129-1941 kg-cm) at 3000 rpm;
    • High strength one-piece integral shafts.
